Neilsons are a long-established Edinburgh firm of solicitors and estate agents, and a website for a firm of that calibre has a lot going on under the bonnet. The level of integration involved, and the standard Neilsons hold themselves to, meant a fully bespoke build was the only way to do it justice. I worked closely with their in-house designer to turn the design into a fast, custom WordPress theme, shaped around exactly how the firm works. Some highlights of the project include:

A reworked blog that reads like a curated, magazine-style landing page rather than a plain chronological list
Where the old site leaned on a fiddly page builder, the new one uses a block-based approach: the team thinks about the words, not the layout, and the design takes care of itself. The result is a site that keeps itself up to date, makes finding the right home simple for buyers, and is easy to look after, built on solid foundations the firm can keep building on.
